All business in the front, all party in the back.
Yup, we have some interesting characters here at The Fun Department. We love a good time and want you to have one too. But even better, we’re business-savvy people with a serious purpose — making fun count towards your goals.
-
Nick, Godfather of fun
Before
reigning over The Fun Department family, Nick Gianoulis learned the value of fun at a large, multimillion-dollar company that was big on a “work hard, play hard” philosophy. He brings his rich experience in sales management and operations to what he readily proclaims is his dream job — building the best possible team of people to deliver fun all around the world. Daily, Nick encourages people to do what they do best and gets a kick out of watching the amazing things that happen as a result.
After
enlightening the world with the value of play, Nick plans to run a fish taco hut somewhere on the Mexican Riviera. He used to be allergic to seafood but ate so much his body finally learned to love it. That’s just how he rolls.
-
Dave, Emperor of Fun and Games
Before
bringing his Power of Fun philosophy to The Fun Department, Dave Raymond was the Phillie Phanatic, spending 16 years as one of the most dynamic, entertaining characters in all of sports. And in the years since has performed and led speaking engagements all across the globe. He brings his unique experience in performance and marketing, as well as an endless supply of Twizzlers, to The Fun Department table.
After
inspiring millions, Dave’s dream is to travel the coast entering sand-sculpting contests. Hmm, to each his own…
-
Mark, Lord of the Deal
Before
managing The Fun Department, Mark Doughty began his journey in fun as a whole ’nother manager — the Phillies’ Road Manager for the Phillie Phanatic. Eventually he made the leap to sales, and he’s been dealing ever since. Though his favorite TV show is Biggest Loser, he’s anything but. For the past decade, Mark has created winning branding strategies for sports teams, universities and organizations of all types. And we’ve discovered this guy can drive a golf ball almost as well as he drives sales.
After
leaving us to fend for ourselves (ha, as if), Mark might be in some trouble. His obsession with Pink kinda scares us.
-
Nat, Master of Fun
Before
facilitating the fun, Nat Measley lived and breathed it, literally, growing up in chocolate heaven: Hershey, PA. This Olympic swimmer wannabe and karaoke crooner extraordinaire has two degrees from the University of Delaware and a ton of speaking, entertainment and production experience, all of which he puts to good use as the master of ceremonies for many of our deliveries. He’s currently abroad sharing the teambuilding fun of our legendary Cup Stacking games with American military bases — how awesome is that?
After
creating loads of workplace fun, Nat should settle down into a quiet existence full of crab legs and Jeopardy. But really, he’ll probably end up disco-dancing his way through Europe.
-
Ben, Good Vibes Coordinator
Before
hopping on board with The Fun Department, Ben Leroy married an owner of the renowned Pizza by Elizabeths restaurant — does it really get any better than that? Well, yes. This pizza lover is also an accomplished musician, entrepreneur and businessman. He has ten full-length recordings to his credit, and he’s performed up and down the East Coast with the likes of Greg Allman, The Hooters, KC & the Sunshine Band and Sophie B. Hawkins, to name a few. He even sold out the Grand Opera House. But his favorite place to be is right here, doing the job he loves most.
After
he’s brought us all the good vibes we can handle, Ben will surely spend most of his time strumming his guitar, boating or swinging a golf club. If he can manage to tear himself away from reruns of The Dukes of Hazzard, of course.
-
Mike, Fun Killer
Before
becoming a partner in The Fun Department, Michael Boulden was a client for several years as the co-owner and vice president of several successful businesses in Newark, DE. In fact, he’s currently Vice-Chairman of the National Propane Gas Associations Benchmarking Council, a group of progressive propane companies from around the country that meet to search for new ideas by comparing business practices with other marketers who share the same challenges. Mike uses his strong background in operations and employee management to help bring a method to our madness. Think of him as quality control — he deliberately pokes holes in our fun ideas to make them better!
After
he’s killed all our fun, Mike plans to retire to Lake Tahoe, where he might finally learn to play the guitar. If he doesn’t get lost in a bottle of Maker’s Mark first. Actually, with his so-called musical talent, we’re thinking those two won’t be mutually exclusive...
